Fady Kassab - Arabish
A Lebanese Stand-Up Comedy Show - Performed in Spoken Lebanese
After sold-out shows in Sydney, Fady Kassab brings his hit spoken Lebanese stand-up comedy show to Melbourne for one night only!
Performed entirely in Lebanese Arabic, this show is a celebration of language, culture, family, migration, Arab mothers shouting about mopping, Arab fathers shouting about, well, everything and the everyday chaos of Arab life in Australia and Lebanon. Expect sharp observations, big laughs and gripping storytelling
Fady has opened for John Achkar, Nemr, Bassem Youssef, Jim Jefferies and more, and now presents a special show created specifically for Arabic-speakers
In Fady’s own words:
“I was opening for my friend John Achkar when he said, ‘Why don’t you do a show in Lebanese?’I replied, ‘Don’t tell me what to do.’
After a brief verbal altercation that escalated into a push and shove, I realised… he was right.”
This show is a collection of Fady’s favourite material from over the years, reworked and performed in spoken Lebanese; the way it was meant to be heard.
Arabic speakers of all backgrounds are welcome.
